Frequently Asked Questions
Where is your glassware made?
The Tall and Short Glasses are crafted in Tokyo, Japan at a glassware maker with roots that stretch back more than 120 years. It was designed to complement all things Fable, and looks just as good on the kitchen shelves as it does on the table.
WHAT IS YOUR GLASSWARE MADE FROM?
Our soda-lime glassware is crafted from high-grade soda-lime glass, and toughened using an ion-toughening technique that makes it 1.6 times stronger than non-toughened glass.
WHERE IS YOUR STEMWARE MADE?
The Wine Glasses are crafted by a glassmaker in Germany that’s been honing its craft for over five centuries, melding hand craftsmanship with modern day glassmaking techniques.
WHAT IS YOUR STEMWARE MADE FROM?
Our high quality crystal stemware is crafted from the purest regionally sourced ingredients—siliceous sand, soda, limestone, and metallic oxides. This composition enhances light reflection and refraction, giving each glass its beautiful brilliance and clarity. Our stemware is toughened using an ion-toughening technique that makes it 2 times stronger than non-toughened glass.
ARE YOUR CERAMICS SUSTAINABLE?
At Fable, we craft sustainable dinnerware you can feel good about setting on the dinner table. During the production of our dinnerware, nothing goes to waste—as our ceramics are made, all excess clay clippings, broken plates, and water used during production are recycled and reused. Clay clippings and broken plates are reincorporated into the production process for reuse, and broken ceramics that have already been glazed are recycled into concrete.
Once the water used during production has been recycled multiple times and becomes too saturated with clay particles, it’s reused as fertilizer in local farmers’ fields. During the day, our ceramics facility is 100% solar powered.
