    Fine European Set

    As the some of the reviewers mentioned, the big spoon is a bit too large. The set is fine if your culture doesn't have a need of a spoon for regular use. For other Asian cultures, the spoon can be too large.

    I got the matte silver set but it seemed like more of a brushed finish. The set needed a thorough cleaning before use, there was a substantial amount of metal dust on them. The dust clogged my sponge good and I needed throw them out.

    The steel for the knife also appears to be quite soft. A drop caused noticeable gashes while some clatter with other utensils seemed to have left it macro scratches.

    It is an ok set overall. All of the pieces had good weight and felt good ergonomically.

    Perfect upgrade

    I've always wanted black cutlery but felt like I was finding only cheap options that I was sure would not last. While these are not cheap, they are beautiful and worth the investment - just like everything else from Fable. Comfortable in your hand, sturdy, and seem perfect still after many runs through the dishwasher!

    Good quality

    Silverware as advertised. Good weight, appropriately sized and comfortable to hold/use. I have had it for about a month and it still looks good, matte finish.

    Beautifully Crafted

    I took a chance by purchasing two sets online without having seen them in person. Absolutely no regrets. Though minimalistic in design, there is an austere grandeur to these (even though I went with the safer matte/satin silver colour option). Top praise goes to the weight and balance of the items: weighty-but-not-overly; perfectly-balanced, making them feel very comfortable to hold. The flatware set has undoubtedly piqued your interest, so, please, do yourself the favour.
