The Details Matter

Greentree Home Candle takes a natural approach to candle making. Each piece is made by hand at their upstate New York studio, where the air is ripe with creativity, high quality craft, and the sweet scent of beeswax. Here’s a look at the incredible level of detail that’s poured into the process.

The Materials

Our candles are all natural, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic—they’re made of 100% pure North American beeswax and 100% cotton wicks. While some beeswax candles are made by melting all parts of the honeycomb, we only use pure capping wax (the super fine wax seal on top of the honeycomb), desired for its purity, high quality, and natural ability to pull dust and toxins from the air.

The Process

First, the beeswax is melted. Once it reaches the right temperature, the hot beeswax is carefully poured into a custom cone-shaped mold that’s been prepped with a cotton wick along the center. When the wax has hardened, it’s removed from the mold. The wicks are trimmed, and each piece is then examined by hand to ensure the highest quality. The result? A clean-burning candle that gives off a soothing glow and natural beeswax scent throughout its 14-16 hour burn time.
